She scrapes the eroding inside
of all the splintered fences
building a helpless tasteless frame.
Her lips define the weight
of something I used to know.
I don’t know why the acrimony
of begrudging accents escape
these sculpted crust-lined borders
where words seem to lack
the pleasantries they once held.
There’s no advantage in this sadness…
only the blurred burning immersing
wave of liquor that resonates with
resentful histories of coiled conceptions.
The spots weigh and sway sadly
in decayed poise along a colored
dripping disposition that never seems
to find a safe harbor. You never
hold my hand the way I hope I fall.
