“A kiss holds a million deceits”…

girls

~

No one quite gets her…
No one really understands…

Just a little lost lady…
Reaching out her hands…

Looking for something…
And someone to hold…

No payback for her bravery…
No reward for being bold…

She wants to be loved…
But they only see her past…

The scars and the damage…
Too much history amassed…

As time and time again…
They’ve treated her like dirt…

She’s chosen the men…
They’ve repaid her with hurt…

Not seeing the love…
She could offer to them…

And one by one…
They’ve slowly condemned…

This beautiful creature…
To a life in the shadows…

Fighting a darkness…
That only she knows…

And now she sits quietly…
Waiting for the phone…

Fighting ghosts of her past…
And fighting them alone…

Desperate for someone…
To give her a sign…

To gently whisper to her…
That it’ll all work out fine…

And her prince will come…
Upon his white steed…

Sweep her off her feet…
At heart racing speed…

But until that moment…
She stares out of the window…

Trying to numb the pain…
Whilst her life’s stuck in limbo…

  1. I love how your poems are so powerful. And if there is any part of my heart that is missed by your words, the music nails it. Fantastic.

  3. You touch my heart with these simple words.
You raise my spirit up and at the same time tear my wings apart.
You say things out loud although they are hidden in my heart, how do you know?
I guess it is how the Universe plays its part…
I feel just gratefulness when reading your lines. It opens up my mind and makes my soul feel free again.
You know how to calm me down, but then you encourage the conflict between my heart and mind.
The way you tell the story for them all, it is the way I should express my world.
How grateful I will always be, for you telling fairy tales instead of me.
When I just stumble and forget all words, when I just simply struggle to find my own voice.

    Thank You!
