His world was dark…
He dragged them in…
Seduced so many minds…
Introduced them to sin…
Showed them things…
No one else sees…
Showed them a world…
Not based in reality…
A life that existed…
Only inside his head…
A place of insanity…
Of fear and of dread…
With flashes of charm…
That kept them intrigued…
Weaving a dark spell…
That dazzled and deceived…
Leaving them spellbound…
Blindly following their hearts…
But he sucked out their souls…
And he ripped them apart…
Leaving them broken…
So cold and so alone…
He destroyed their worlds…
He destroyed so many homes…
Then quickly moved on…
Forgetting their names…
Erasing the memories…
Denying any shame…
Wandering through the night…
In search of distraction…
He prowled the shadows…
Looking for more action…
Then one night he met…
The most beautiful vixen…
Whose stunning eyes…
Defied any description…
Falling head over heels…
He never felt Karma’s knife…
She stole his heart…
And she destroyed his life…

Karma is as karma does.
Ain’t that the truth! Cheers J
This is very revealing of the soul of the main character….while he thought he was in control by all the lives he previously effected with his “charm” and “spells”….he loses control over one.
My question is, was the “vixen” doing it intentionally? Or was it because she could see through the previous “spells” and “charm” that he cast to all those previously who came to him and “blindly followed their hearts”? Did he call her a “vixen” because she didn’t do that? Is it truly “karma” or is it just someone he ran in to that broke his behavioral predictions?
I could psychoanalyze this all day…LOL! This shows the mastery of how this piece was written. Fantastic piece!
Thanks for such an insightful comment, love your interpritations and your very kind words! Cheers J
Beautiful, dark, with something I can’t call a happy ending, but justice was served.
Thank you – you will seldom find happy endings in these pages – I hope that you still return to read though! Cheers J
On my page most “happy endings” involve my death. So your page is right up my alley.
I will explore – Cheers J
