Please don’t lock me out…
Please don’t push me away…
Hear me when I shout…
Believe I’m here to stay…
Try to get my message…
And read all my signs…
Realise what you are doing…
Revaluate your life’s design…
This is for the best…
Awake from your dreamland…
Don’t waste time hating him…
Just try and understand…
That you’re in a black place…
And I simply want to assist…
If you open up the doors…
I’ll try help you lift the mist…
We’ll take it at your pace…
Slowly, step by step…
We can talk it through…
Unpick this spider’s web…
I know it’s not an easy task…
I have no magic wand…
I’ll sit and talk for hours…
I’m really yours to command…
But you really have to trust me…
I know that it seems hard…
You’re the key to all of this…
You alone hold all the cards…
I know what you’ve been through…
And none of it’s your fault…
The world has been against you…
In a full all-out assault…
You’re trapped in a prison…
Your own little private cell…
Let’s work out how to escape…
Be free from this living Hell…
I’m not saying it will be easy…
Nothing worthwhile ever is…
But I’ll help you overcome this…
And defeat this dark nemesis…
~
Very deep I love it

Jesus, Mary and Joseph it’s like a new, light hearted Jay!
I like a speck of light with the dark, kind of a yin and yang thing.
Not quite – but I see where you’re coming from! Cheers J
Hi and thank you for the like. This is beautiful and very much describes what I am trying to do. I came back to the US because I saw my wife and children being destroyed by abject poverty in a harsh world that they don’t understand. I am their guardian and hope they will someday understand what I am doing for them.
Thanks for your insightful comment David and good luck with your family! Cheers J

Well done. I like two-lined stanza poems. It’s short but for every pause you make to get tot the next line it actually emphasizes the lines more. Like breathing. For every moment that you are aware that you’re breathing, it actually makes you think and feel how awesome living life is.
Thank you for your kind words Gabriel – really appreciated! Cheers J
I loved how this poem shows how sometimes listening can be the most difficult part of loving. The victim has all the power ironically, and the listener can only wait, hope and love. It takes incredible strength and fortitude to absorb that much of a victim’s pain and help them recover and move forward. This is a beautiful expression of the pain and patience of a healer.
Thank you for taking the time to comment Claire – Nail on head I would say! Cheers J
