He and She…
Sitting in a tree…
K. I. S. S. I. N. G…
As the branch broke…
They fell to the ground…
Not able to move…
Not making a sound…
Staring at each other…
Realising it was over…
Not wanting to admit it…
Or lose the four leaf clover…
That had cast a spell…
Over their eyes…
Leaving just shadows…
Wrapped up in lies…
As the luck they found…
Had simply disappeared…
And in a heartbeat…
The silence had appeared…
Leaving nothing behind…
But bitter tears…
Falling to the ground…
As minutes became years…
And without any contact…
Without any conversation…
The wounds got deeper…
Lost in translation…
As hope was lost…
The dream had ended…
And as darkness fell…
The evil descended…
Infecting both hearts…
Distorting the facts…
And when battle commenced…
There was no turning back…
As what was once…
Remained no more…
The ship had sailed…
And gone to war…
Where no one wins…
No victory is tasted…
Just a stark reminder…
Of what was wasted…
He and She…
Sitting in a tree…
K. I. S. S. I. N. G…

Powerful. I love that you used something child-like innocent to build this tragic truth.
