The way purple becomes her
in automatically lined shadows…
the way brown seems to spell out a note
serenading along Virginia paths…
the way her hair surrounds my thoughts
outstretched…pleading…as if tempting
like overt lithe fingertips across time…
the way memory besieges
with circumscribed heartbeats
at her every step…away…
A melody of her tone
voices within newly formed dreams
where regret and anguished misery
never interceded our seconds.
Through the therapy
of her resonant golden tenor
she can find me…waiting…
