“I thought I heard the captain’s voice”…

~

The captain’s voice echoed…

Across the stormy sea…

Skimming the cruel waves…

A last desperate plea…

He’d battled sea monsters…

Sea devils and demons…

Fought Neptune’s storms…

And lost all his crew men…

But now he stood there…

Exhausted and alone…

After one final challenge…

Before setting for home…

As she’d got in his head…

And infected his brain…

With an invisible madness…

That drove him insane…

Hearing her quiet whispers…

In the blackness of the night…

Seeing strange dark shadows…

In the cold pale moonlight…

And convinced he saw her…

In the corners of his eyes…

This Queen of the Mermaids…

Who’d hypnotised his mind…

She’d become his obsession…

He had needed to see more…

He was desparate to hold her…

Before heading back for shore…

So he’d set out to find her…

In the midst of a great storm…

But with no stars to guide him…

He ended up lost and forlorn…

In the midst of the oceans anger…

And waves climbing so high…

He now clings to the mast…

With tears in his eyes…

Standing there calling…

Her name out to sea…

Where nobody can help him…

Or hear his last plea…

  1. Very moving. I see shades of Captain Ahab and his infatuation with Moby Dick.
Or the whale ship The Essex where Melville got his inspiration. Very Good!

Bunatatea este infinita pentru aceia pe care noi ii consideram prieteni… Exista totusi prieteni care ne ofera la randul lor acceasi bunatate si aceia sunt adevaratii PRIETENI! O zi binecuvantata!

Kindness is infinite for those whom we consider friends … However, there are friends who in turn gives us confort kindness and those are real friends!
    A blessed day!
