“I’m beginning to wonder, if it’s time for a change”…

change

~

Time for a change,
to find a new song…

Time to go and
time to move on…

Time to end this and
no longer pretend…

Time to heal and
try to mend…

Time to forget and
just walk away…

Time to lock the box,
face it another day…

Time to erase and
end all the pain…

Time to finish and
try start again…

Time to figure out,
how to regain control…

Time to find peace,
restore a battered soul…

Time to extinguish the demons,
floating around the head…

Time to stop the voices,
ignore what they said…

Time to learn from,
all the past mistakes…

Time to understand,
the strength that will take…

Time to focus on,
what lies within…

Time to find strength,
find a way to begin…

Time to be cruel,
in order to be kind…

Time to not worry,
about what they will find…

Time to be brave and
time to be strong…

Time to admit,
it was so very wrong…

  1. Wow! This is truly beautiful, J! Wonderful write 🙂
And just that slight touch of dark mystery in the final lines – Time to admit, it was so very wrong… – Love it! ❤

  2. Reblogged this on whisper2scream and commented:
I only know two Split Enz songs and both are far more mainstream than this – in their own alternative way. But it wasn’t the song that prompted me to reblog this. It was the writing that accompanies it. I don’t know what the author had in mind – and, frankly, that’s not for me to know. But I do know what this poem means to me. And for that, I am grateful that I found it when I did.

Sometimes we find the words to help us decipher life. And sometimes they find us.
