More words from our friend and guest poet Cate…
~
Siren Saviour
I hear you
Through the noise
The growing deafening white noise
The drowning sound of darkness
Closing me in
But I hear you
The time is right
So right
A chink of a spark
A glow surrounds my soul
And I hear you
I hear you
The hollow that’s formed
The downward spiral shell that’s formed
Like a siren’s cry
Stretching over the waves
Still I hear you
Piercing the dark azure
Fathomless azure
Crushing sounds deferred
Oceans parted
Because I hear you
I hear you
The turning lamp light
Guiding me up and out towards light
Leading me who knows where
Blinkered I follow the sound
Only I hear you
Calling me to a safer place
A happier place
No more can be done
The way out through grey mists
Now I hear you
~
