“It was a slap in the face, how quickly I was replaced”…

In between the truth…
And her imagination…
Sits the stark reality…
Of this sorry situation…
The distorted version…
That they all hear…
Is not as accurate…
As it first appears…

The way she tells it…
Lacks the cold facts…
And it’s coloured with…
Unnecessary attacks…
Primed to explode…
On unsuspecting ears…
As she tells them of her hurt…
With eyes full of tears…

And her unbridled hatred…
When she sees his face…
The forbidden one…
Now in utter disgrace…
Detached from her life…
With such swift ease…
As she found others…
To play with and deceive…

Thinking she’s so clever…
Holding the upper hand…
But doesn’t comprehend…
Or begin to understand…
She never held the aces…
And hasn’t got a clue…
The plans he’s constructing…
Hidden and out of view…

Because the time is coming…
Where revenge will be sweet…
Balance will be resorted…
As the circle is complete…
Then in-between the truth…
And her vivid imagination…
She’ll soon feel his anger…
And taste his retribution…
