Don’t you think I hear you…
Talking when I pass by…
Whispering in corners…
Spreading rumours and lies…
Speaking with a fork tongue…
Playing your silly games…
Trying to hide the damage done…
Yet it’s written all over your face…
Some people will believe you…
And swallow your distorted view…
People only believe what they hear…
Even when it comes from you…
But the truth is so much darker…
Darker than you admit yourself…
You know the depths you sank to…
I was the only one who could help…
You turned to me as a life line…
I saved your filthy black soul…
The lines did indeed get crossed…
But I dug you out of the hole…
The kisses we shared were unwise…
I look back so full of shame…
And if I could go back in time…
I would simply erase your name…
Our actions were so regretful…
I accept it was partly my fault…
Being there for you was foolish…
Your affections were so fucking false…
I should have seen the danger…
Yet I misread all the signs…
Drove off the edge of the cliff…
Ignored the shivers in my spine…
It’s left us both so bitter…
And you have come off worse…
Keep venting all your anger…
To anyone who comes close…
Don’t you think I hear you…
Talking as I pass by…
Whispering in corners…
Condemning me with your lies…
