“It feels like nothing matters, in our private universe”…

~

Every time we look forward…
They anchor us in the past…

With dark energy all around us…
This worlds not built to last…

It’s the fate of the universe…
To live and then to die…

Before our sun gets hotter…
Two galaxies will collide…

We Humans are an anomaly…
The one true Alien race…

All those distant planets…
They refuse to show their face…

Are we just an event horizon…
Is mankind a stain on history…

How we even got here…
Is still such a mystery…

We look at all the evidence…
And twist to make it fit…

Black Holes invade science…
Yet we still dare not admit…

That we blink and we miss it…
Fragmented view clouds our eyes…

Did it start with a big bang…
Is religion one controlling lie…

Who cares how it all started…
Who knows when it will end…

In the end we’re all just dust…
The in-between we can’t comprehend…

Our brains just can’t take it in…
So we focus upon ourselves…

As meteors hurl towards Earth…
We watch TV or put up shelves…

Retreating into our universe…
So private, reclusive and remote…

Whilst falling stars disappear…
We cling onto the lifeboat…

Every time we look forward…
They remind us of the past…

With danger all around us…
One day will be our last…

  1. BEAUTIFUL! I am very passionate about the subject of which you speak and I must say that this is a wonderful representation of the state of existentialism. BTW Thanks for the follow. My name is Jamie as well 😛
